Cloth spine, dark green paper boards with pictorial onlay to front. 35 colour illustrations including half-title page and title page. All about 'Daddy Cat'. Covers are worn with some creasing and some slight surface paper damage. Spine bumped and rubbed. Contents are well fingered with creases and some small tears. Tiny patch of surface paper damage to lower margin of frontis (doesn't actually affect the illustration). Overall a good reading copy of a scarce Wain book.

B/w illustrations throughout. Bumping and wear to spine, corners and cover edges. Damp mark down edge of rear cover. Some scuffing. Award plate to front pastedown. Page browning; some other marks to pages.

Some slight chipping of paper covering to spine. Small binding error of crease in paper to rear cover. Inscription in ink to verso of title-page (dated 1909) and one name crossed out and replaced with another. Some slight foxing and fingering to contents. Light tobacco smell to contents.

Brown cloth spine with dark brown title and illustration, pictorial front board. Colour plates plus b/w text illustrations (mostly Wain but others also). Spine is grubby. Covers are edge worn and also grubby, a couple of small scratch marks to front cover. New endpapers. Some light foxing. Some colouring to some of the b/w illustrations and some erasing as well. There is a musty (tobbaco?) smell to the contents.

Munster Fairy Tales For Young And Old. 3 stories. Green cloth, gilt title and border. Attractive b/w plates, some cats but not in Wain's usual anthropomorphic style. xiii + 78 pages. What appears to be 'repairs' to top and tail of spine. A few small splits/nicks to spine, with a little fraying to cloth. Uneven fading to covers. Corners are bumped, with wear. A couple of score marks to rear cover. Margin tear to front endpaper, which also has a couple of partially erased children's names. Foxing. B/w illustration to page 54 has some colouring to it.

Spine and corners bumped and worn with slight loss of paper covering to lower front corner. Some light wrinkling to paper covering on covers. Name in ink to front pastedown. Foxing and light fingering to contents, light pink stain to inner margin of last plate (affecting the illustration slightly). A very desirable copy of a scarce Wain title. This copy would make a wonderful gift.
