Spine and corners worn with fraying to base of spine, damp(?) stain to rear edge of spine. A few plates have creases to corners.

The stories in "Biggles Learns to Fly" originally appeared in 1934 in the pages of Modern Boy. When they were collected for publication in the Boys Friend Library, the following year, an editorial hand was responsible for many small textual changes and the complete re-writing of one of the adventures. When the collections was published by Brockhampton Press in 1955 again the corrupted text was used. In this edition the stories are as published in the Modern Boy accompanied by the original illustrations. Black boards, gilt title to spine. Limited to 300 copies. This is copy no. 23.
