The very first Famous Five book in which the Five encounter a ruined castle, a wreck and buried treasure. Red boards. 191 pages. Blue pictorial endpapers showing the island. B/w illustrations. 9th impression. Covers very slightly grubby at edges. Tear to top of inner margin of title-page. Heavy foxing to textblock and page margins. Dustwrapper is edge worn with slight loss and just a little grubby.
