Almost very good condition. Charles Keene was an English artist and illustrator working in black and white and associated with the periodical 'Punch' from 1851 to 1890. Red cloth boards, gilt titles and vignette to front. B/w illustrations. 463 pages including index. Top edge gilt.
Boards faded and edge-worn with a few small splits to top & tail of spine, 1" split to top front edge of spine. Rear board scuffed. Text block browned. Previous owner's name stamp to front endpaper and verso of same. Joints starting to crack. Hinges pulled but binding is still tight. Some foxing present.
