Very good condition in a good dustwrapper.
David, a small cripple boy, is given a wonderful magical brooch and has many amusing adventures. Red cloth, black titles. 219 pages. Colour frontis, b/w text illustrations. Spine and corners bumped. Some fading to cover edges. Name and address in ink to front pastedown, inscription in ink to endpaper. There is a small mark to the textblock and very pale page browning else contents clean. Dustwrapper is worn at edges with minimal loss to corners and slightly grubby to rear panel/spine.

- David, a small cripple boy, leads a very hum-drum life until an old lady who is also a cripple, and who must surely be a witch, comes to live in his village. She owns a wonderful brooch and the wearer can hear insects, birds and animals talk. David is given the brooch and has many amusing adventures.
