Illustrated by Greg Tricker
Published by Millwheel Art Press. 1st. 2006
Nearly fine condition in a very good dustwrapper. An inspired collection of over forty original paintings by Greg Tricker portraying the extraordinary life of Kaspar Hauser. Born a Prince, yet confined as a child to an underground prison for over twelve years, living on bred and water with a small toy horse to play with. He stumbled out onto the streets of Nuremberg in 1828 and became famous throughout Europe for his remarkable abilities and intriguing character. Kaspar Hauser's mysterious life and his historical background is challengingly explored by writer and artist, Johannes Steuck, and complemented by an insightful foreword by Jonathan Stedall. Large format. White cloth boards, silver title to spine. Colour illustrations. 143 pages.
A lovely copy. White pictorial dustwrapper is a little grubby to rear panel with a small patch of scoring.
