Almost very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. Ladybird Series 417. Green boards with colour vignette and titles. Also contains: THE NIGHT WATCHMAN.
Book not dated, but catalogue to rear of contents confirms that the book is a 1st edition! Spine bumped. Slight surface paper damage to outer edges of front free endpaper. One joint cracked. Contents still tight and bright and clean. A beautiful copy. Wrapper edge worn with minimal loss to corners and top and bottom of spine. Small piece (2 x 1cm) of wrapper missing from top edge of rear panel. Front flap of wrapper previously detached from front panel, now neatly repaired to verso making split nearly invisible. Overall, a lovely copy of a very scarce book.
