THE DOG WHO WASN'T WHAT HE THOUGHT HE WAS
Illustrated by Cecil Aldin
Published by Raphael Tuck & Sons Ltd.. Circa. 1919
Good condition. Extracts from the diary of a Mongrelian named Gibus, so-called, says his master, because his face reminds him of his opera hat when it is shut up! Large format. Light brown pictorial cloth. Delightful and amusing colour plates plus a few b/w text illustrations.
Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Marks to covers. Inscription in ink to front endpaper, which is browned and also has some margin chips and tears. A few gatherings are pulled - with a few leaves starting to come loose next to spine - some are torn. One page has large tear, but does not obstruct text on either side.
