Anthony Browne has always acknowledged this classic cult movie to be one of the most potent influences on his work. Never before appearing as a full colour book, there will not be a dry eye in the house as the last page is turned. Blue cloth. 92 pages. 11.75 x 9". ISBN: 1856812588. Some light wear along cover edges. Contents are excellent. Wrapper is edge-creased, with 1" closed tear to top of front panel.

The story of Brownie Squirrel's journey to a party. Green boards with gilt title. Black & white pictorial endpapers. 6 colour plates plus b/w text illustrations. 37 pages. Spine and corners a little bumped. Browning to endpapers. Pencil erased from top of verso of front endpaper. Colour plates all present but not in right order. They may have been reinserted into book. One plate has ragged edges and is a little detached from the book and has a couple of shiny marks (?glue).Pictorial dustwrapper is edgeworn and torn with a little loss. Front panel is creased. Wrapper is grubby.

Large oblong format. Colour pictorial boards. Beautiful colour and b/w illustrations throughout. The brave trio Wee Wee, Squeak and Squeal are bored with their lot, finding life on the farm rather dull, so they go into the big world where they have many exciting adventures and some very unpleasant ones. A few grubby marks to covers. Light wear along cover edges. Foxing to some pages. Wrapper has a few closed tears, with chips; minimal loss (mostly chips of loss to corners); grubby with some foxing and creasing.

Labels stuck to verso to strengthen edges. Foxing on verso.
