Very good condition.
Red cloth spine with black title, pictorial front board shows a girl at the seaside listening to a shell. Green pictorial endpapers. 24 colour plates mounted on brown paper (2 cat plates by Wain and 5 plates by Aris), numerous b/w text illustrations throughout (including many non-cat illus by Wain). 288 pages. Spine and corners bumped, corners worn, edges rubbed. A couple of scratch marks to front cover and covers slightly grubby with foxing on rear cover. Inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper. One colour plate (of a teddy) is lightly creased and one Wain plate has a light corner crease. Contents are clean.

Colouring (not water) to two of the magic paintings, the rest are untouched, top corner of last magic painting page torn out. Light foxing to outer page edges. One hinge pulled.
