The third Rupert annual. 1st story Rupert and the Daffodils. Colour pictorial boards. Red cloth spine. 126 pages. 10x7.5". Covers are edge worn, a bit grubby and there is a light circular mark (cup mark?) to centre of front cover. Spine is worn at top and tail with fraying of cloth and is grubby and faded. Name and date in ink in belongs to box. Heavy foxing throughout. Hinges pulled and cracked showing stitching beneath.

Colour pictorial boards - Rupert & chums watching large ball coming down from the sky. The last Rupert annual to include Magic Paintings. 10 x 7 inches. 115 pages. No facsimile produced for this year. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Name in belongs to box has been erased. Price NOT cut. First magic painting has been neatly completed, a couple of others have a tiny bit of colour to them, the remaining ones are untouched. Page edges are browned but contents are generally clean.

A copy which has been carefully stored since the day of purchase. Would be perfect except that the pages were creased at hinges during the binding proces and there is a small blue mark on pages 8 and 9, a printing fault.

This is a rough and uncorrected proof. Polish folk tales. This book grew out of stories told to the author as a child by her Polish father. Orange cardwraps. 8 striking full-colour plates plus silhouette illustrations. 151 pages. ISBN: 0460057510. Minor damp stain to top rear corner. Text block browned with some foxing/marks. Tiny damp stain to top corner tip of contents. Otherwise contents clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is edge-worn, torn to top rear corner (small), front flap is staple to front panel at top edge, a few damp stains to verso (not visible to front).
