A story for the young in heart. Cream boards, red titles. Colour frontis plate, b/w illustrations. 255 pages. 7.5 x 5". Fourth printing. Spine and corners slightly bumped. Inscription in pencil to front free-endpaper has been erased but leaves impressions of the writing. Two page corner tips are slightly creased. One hinge is slightly cracked. Some foxing to front endpapers. Price-cut wrapper is edge rubbed and creased, faded to spine with some loss at top.

Ambrose and Poppy began to investigate - and something very unexpected happened to them! Another mystery story about Mr Bubbus, Mr Deggas and all the Deggas children. Green cloth boards, gilt title to spine. B/w illustrations. 87 numbered pages. ISBN: 0340196149. SIGNED by the author (TWICE). Once as a gift dedication to free front endpaper and once with no dedication to the top of the title page. Top of spine is bumped which means the contents are also creassed to top gutter edge throughout. Tape stuck to front pastedown and a small patch of surface paper loss where some tape has been removed. Contents are clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is faded to spine, rubbed at corners, lightly creased and a little grubby to rear panel.
