Burgundy cloth boards, black titles. B/w illustrations, some folding. 550 pages including index. Third impression. Spine faded, split to front edge with fraying, rear edge has a couple of small holes in cloth. Corners lightly rubbed. Boards just a little stained/marked. Inscription in ink to top edge of front endpaper messily crossed out. Text block browned. Tear to fold of folding illustration on page 84 (no loss). Previous owner's address label to rear pastedown.
