HOW THEY WENT TO SCHOOL
Written by S. Rosamond Praeger.
Illustrated by S. Rosamond Praeger.
Stock no. 2110405
Published by Blackie & Son Ltd..
Circa
1904.
Good condition.
Kitty and Hal didn't mean to be late for school but so many things happened on the way... Delightful full-page colour pictures. Pictorial paper boards, green cloth spine. Publisher information states 'Blackie & Son, Limited' Glasgow and Dublin, which makes this edition pre-1910 (in 1910, Blackie dropped 'and Dublin' from the publisher information). This book has been rebound and rebacked, with new spine, but original covers and endpapers laid down. Appears to have new pastedowns. Some bumping and heavy wear to corners and cover edges. Names and inscriptions in ink to prelims. A few page edge tears, foxing and some grubby marks. Illustrations are lovely and bright for the age! This is a very early edition (the first being published in 1903). One gift inscription is dated 1904.
