Good condition. Red cloth spine. Front cover shows ice skaters. First story is 'When Hawkins Sailed the Sea'. Includes roughly 6 Louis Wain b/w text illustrations. Colour plates mounted on green paper.
Spine and covers are edge worn. Rear cover is grubby. Prize plate to front pastedown (partially covering a Wain illustration). Tissue-guard to frontis torn with lower half missing. Inscription in pencil to top margin of title-page. Grubby fingermarks and foxing to text. One plate (opp page 272) has 1" closed tear.
