  • In the far-away days of Henry VIII there lived a little girl called Tamsyn. She had one unusual passion: she loved ships. This is the story of how she leaves her Devon home by the sea and goes to live with a family of lively cousins in London. At first the strangeness and bustle of Tudor London and her longing to be amongst ships makes her homesick. But gradually she settles down and discovers her cousin, Piers, shares her love for the sea. But it is not until the year is almost out, and Christmas comes round again, that the most wonderful thing of all takes place.
