Front cover has vignettes of cats with central pictorial onlay of a cat tailor sewing on a patch. 12 wonderful colour plates and numerous b/w drawings - all of cats! 136 pages plus 4 page publication list. Spine and corners bumped and worn with slight loss of paper covering to lower front corner. Some light wrinkling to paper covering on covers. Name in ink to front pastedown. Foxing and light fingering to contents, light pink stain to inner margin of last plate (affecting the illustration slightly). A very desirable copy of a scarce Wain title. This copy would make a wonderful gift.
