Spine and corners bumped. Covers are sunned, light scratch mark to rear cover. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Endpapers browned, light foxing to textblock and heavier foxspots to prelims. Dustwrapper is edge worn and torn with damp stains to sides of spine, 2" loss to top of spine and a small patch of loss to centre of rear panel.

Spine bumped and faded with a little wear, spine feels stiff so possibly some glue applied to verso. Corners worn, lower front corner bumped. 1.5" abrasion to rear cover with slight loss of cloth. A few other small marks to covers. Joints cracked, showing webbing. Name in ink to half-title page. Light foxing to endpapers, prelims and a few fox spots throughout. A few marks to contents but generally clean. All plates present.

The very first Noddy book, in which Big-Ears discovers the little nodding man who has run away from Old Man Carver and takes him back to Toyland. Red pictorial covers with rounded spine. 61 pages. 7.5 x 5.5". Spine and corners bumped and worn. Rear spine split almost from top to bottom. Small split to front. Top of front corner creased. Board edges grubby. Some hinges cracked. Name in belongs to box. Foxing and some marks throughout. Text block edges grubby. Dustwrapper is edge worn, creased and torn. Areas of loss to top and bottom of spine and to top of front panel and bottom of rear panel. Wrapper is grubby.

Contents generally clean.

Overall this is a very nice copy of a very politically-incorrect book! This copy would make a wonderful gift.

A Garden Whim-Wham. The young Prince Dande Lion sets off to see the world with Bill Bergia the Smuggler, Captain Sturt Pea, Reds the Poinsettier dog and a pup, little Black Tulip. They meet with many exciting adventures. Brown cloth spine, green paper boards with brown vignette of Dande Lion. 4 colour plates(incl. title page), 12 full page black and white and many small illustrations. 117 pages. Spine bumped with wear to ends. A little wear to corners. Fading to edges of both covers and a few faint dark marks to rear cover. Small bookseller's label to front pastedown. Margin tear to lower edge of page 99/100, just reaches text. Some black spots to colour plate pages, mostly faint and on versos. Light browning to endpapers and an odd fox spot but generally a nice clean copy. Dustwrapper has loss from ends of spine, top corner of rear panel and top of front fold and a few small chips. Rear flap is almost detached. Large tear to rear panel repaired on verso with clear tape, now yellowed. 4 pencil numbers/marks and a couple of creases to front flap. Panels and spine a bit grubby.
