Lilac covers with gilt titles and vignette to spine. Embossed decoration to front cover. 6 coloured plates and numerous illustrations. xv and 369 pages. 7.5" x 5". All edges gilt. Covers have faded to white (a normal problem with this volume!). Gilt still bright. Covers grubby and spine bumped. Both free-endpapers are missing. There is some foxing to the prelims and the last couple of pages. The b/w plate opposite page 6 has been coloured in neatly. All other plates are present and untouched.
