Red cloth spine. Pictorial front board shows boy and girl pulling a girl (with teddy bear) in a sledge (plate is duplicated inside). 288 pages. Colour plates mounted on green paper, b/w illustrations throughout. First story is "The Golden Passports" by Lee. Covers are edge worn. Spine has been rebacked with red cloth. There is a section of surface paper missing to lower corner of rear cover. Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper. Name plate to verso of frontis. Tiny booksellers sticker to rear pastedown. Page corner tips are creased and there is some light fingering to page margins.

Pictorial boards and spine, front cover shows 3 children on a beach with small wrecked boat behind them. First story is "Never Give In" by Stebbing. Includes a couple of b/w illustrations of cats by Wain. Spine and corners slightly bumped and worn. Scratch mark to front cover. Heavy page browning to endpapers and lighter page browning to margins. Some foxing to textblock.

Spine bumped and grubby. Covers edge worn. Rear cover is grubby and spotted. Front joint is almost broken, rear joint cracked. Page browning and some fingering to margins.

Small stick sticker to front pastedown. Small corner crease to one of the mounted plates.
