Almost very good condition. Telling the story of Pickles the puppy who is always getting into a pickle! Large format. Brick red cloth spine, with gilt title. Green cloth covers with orange and gilt titles. 24 delightful colour plates.
Recased in original covers, joints professionally repaired and rear free-endpaper backed as some loss to edges. Some pages and plates slightly worn to edges where they were loose before repairs. Some creases to pages. Light browning mainly to margins of text pages, plates bright and clean. Inscription in ink and small newspaper clipping (about Peter the lost Budgerigar!) fixed with white tape to verso of front-endpaper. Musty odour to contents. Still a decent copy of a scarce title, now in sound binding.
