Almost very good condition in a very good dustwrapper.
A story from the dark winter of A.D. 878, when Danish King Guthrum launched his treacherous attack on the kingdom of Wessex. Orange cloth, black titles and vignettes. 243 pages. B/w illustrations. Spine and corners bumped with tiny nicks to top and tail of spine. Some slight fading to cover edges. Foxing to textblock, endpapers and prelims else contents clean. Dustwrapper is lightly foxed on verso and a little edge rubbed.
