Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper.
Nonsense verses, songs and jingles for children of all ages. Green cloth boards, yellow titles. B/w illustrations to text. Pictorial endpapers show children riding various animals. xviii and 194 pages including index. Eleventh printing. Top 7 tail of spine lightly shelf-worn. Boards clean and bright. 1" tear to lower edge of front joint. Text block a little grubby. Contents clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is edge-worn with a few small chips, browned, and a little grubby.

Laura Elizabeth Howe Richards (February 27, 1850 – January 14, 1943) was an American writer. She wrote more than 90 books including biographies, poetry, and several for children. One well-known children's poem is her literary nonsense verse "Eletelephony".
