Title page is "The New Rupert Colour Adventure Book". Laminated boards. Front cover shows Rupert climbing down a castle wall by means of a rope. Coloured and red/white pictures throughout. First story is Rupert and his Pet Monkey. 10.5 x 8.5". Unpaginated. Spine bumped and worn, corners very slightly bumped. A few pages are marked by a sticky/greasy spot.

Red and yellow paper wraps. 10 b/w pictures to colour and trace including the Wise Goat, Dapple the pony and Princess Annabel. 8 x 9.25". Top corner tip of front cover has been torn off. Colouring to the Rupert illustration on front cover. Staples rusty. The tracing pages have been used and there is colouring to two of the illustrations.

Contains Rupert story "Rupert's Pet Monkey Gets Lost". Covers are a bit grubby and foxed. Pop-ups mostly in good working order, the Flower Fairy has creased so she doesn't stand up. Foxing to contents. Some hinges slightly cracked.

Almost very good condition.
One of Mary Tourtel's first books before she went on to create Rupert Bear! Dumpy Books For Children series No. 10. Small format. Green cloth with dark green titles and stripes. Colour pictures with text facing, printed on one side of the paper only. A delightful little book! Foxing and browning to covers, with some uneven fading. Small nick to cloth at base of spine. Front joint is a bit cracked. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Foxing and browning. A few hinges are a little pulled.

(Originally published 1938 with pictorial spine). Spine bumped, corners bumped and worn. Some slight lifting of surface paper at spine edge of front cover. Inscription in ink and name and address in belongs to box on front pastedown. Some colouring to the painting pages. Two patches of surface paper damage to rear pastedown. Light page browning to contents.

Front cover shows Rupert pulling small boy out of hole in road. Pale green pictorial boards, red cloth spine. Front cover states that there are 200 cut-outs and five stories. (Later reprints had 120 cut-outs and four stories). This edition states it Contains Rupert in Trouble Again; Rupert and the Old Man of the Sea; Rupert the Witch and Tabitha; Rupert and the Wilful Princess; Rupert Goes Hiking. However, One story is MISSING (published and bound this way) - Missing Rupert, The Witch and Tabitha, it also has 132 cut-outs (NOT the stated 200 or later 120). An early reprint! Spine is unevenly faded and marked. Bumping and wear to cover edges. A few scuff marks. Foxing and browning to outer page edges. No cut-outs have been cut out from book. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. An early reprint.
