A handsome new edition with the characters sensitively portrayed and the action evocatively and faithfully depicted by the 1963 winner of the Kate Greenaway Medal. Colour plates plus b/w line drawings. Pale green boards. Gilt title to spine. 240 pages. 9.5 x 6.5 inches. ISBN: 0722657463. Spine slightly bumped. Some light finger creases to first few pages and a couple of page margins are slightly creased. Dustwrapper rubbed/creased at top edge (where it has been moved in and out of the slipcase), small tear to top of spine. Slipcase has a few very small marks at top edges.
