Blue cloth boards with gilt titles. Colour plates, maps and numerous b/w illustrations. A very heavy set. Both volumes rubbed and scuffed to boards, top & tail of spines worn. Text block a little grubby. Name in ink to half-title pages. All colour plates & maps present. Some hinges lightly pulled. Rear joint of volume 2 is cracked exposing cloth beneath but is still quite firm.
