Spine and corners bumped and worn with some chipping to spine and slight loss at base. Small stain to page 36 (affecting the red border of the illustration). A couple of very small margin tears.

Foxing to textblock, light browning to verso of frontis. Inscription in ink to verso of front free-endpaper. Front flap of dustwrapper is missing, remainder of wrapper is creased and torn with loss to top and tail of spine and also to top rear corner.
