Two volumes packed full with colour illustrations. This set containes "The Hutchinson Treasury of Fairy Tales" instead of Literature. Spine and corners of the books are bumped and rubbed. Dustwrappers are creased at edges. Both volumes have a name in ink to front free-endpapers. The box is bumped at corners.

Beautiful plates that have captioned page guards. Spine browned and worn with fraying to top & tail. Boards are grubby. Text block browned. Joints cracked but binding tight. SIGNED by John Greenaway and number 275 (?) of 500. Some minor foxing and age related marks presnt. All plates present. Plate on page 88 has a repaired closed tear which does not affect the actual illustration. Plate and tissue guard facing page 166 is creased at edges with a few tiny closed tears.
