Blue cloth with dark titles to spine. 4 b/w plates. Bottom of spine is faded. Some browning and bumping along cover edges. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Foxing to endpapers, outer page edges and margins. Wrapper is creased with edge-tears and chips; loss to bottom of spine, corners and a few chips along edges.

Railway Series No. 7. Poor Thomas has been in trouble - the Fat Controller asks Toby to come and help run the Branch Line. Delightful colour pictures every page. Grey boards, red titles and vignette. 4 x 5.5". 63 pages. Browning to cover edges. Bumping to corners. Pencil tick marks to other titles in series to last page. Wrapper is badly torn and creased, with some yellowing tape repairs; pieces of loss to edges.

Brown slip case with pictorial onlay containing two volumes. Books have cream p/w with pictorial onlays, and b/w illustrations throughout. 9 x 6". Staples to both bindings have rusted, so that covers have come away from contents. Original glassine wrappers are still present, with brown marks from rusting staples; chipping to edges. Slip case is good; grubby with couple of splits at edges.
