Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper.
Gwilym Lewis was sent to the Somme in 1916 as a boy of eighteen only just out of school. During his service he wrote long letters to his family who preserved them. These letters have been edited by Chaz Bowyer and illustrated with b/w photos from private albums. Blue boards, gilt title to spine. ISBN: 0718303245. Spine and a couple of cover edges are faded. Browning to outer page edges. Wrapper is edge-creased with some chips and tears; browned.
