Very large format. Contemporary binding; Leather spine has raised bands and gilt title. Green covers. 56 b/w plates. Book has been rebound with leather spine, which has some fading and scuffing; wear to top and tail. Green covers, which have a few marks; top corner of front cover is bumped. New endpapers, which now have some browning/foxing. Original pages internally have foxing and some damp marking; chipping to edges of some pages.

Cream cloth covers with dark titles and deer vignettes. Two-tone frontis plus 4 b/w plates, 2 fold out maps and small b/w repeated illustrations. 125 pages. Spine and corners a little bumped. Browning to spine and board edges. Small bump to bottom of front and rear board. Tissue guard to frontis is creased. Both maps have small tears where they are stuck into the book. The first map is creased at the edges. One plate is detached. Foxing to some pages and the top margin of some plates otherwise contents are clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn, chipped and creased. Remains of a label to rear flap. Small patch of surface paper damage to front flap. Some foxing and marks to panels. Wrapper is grubby.
