6 x 9 ins. Yellow boards with black illustration to front board. Illustrated endpapers. Wonderful b/w drawings illustrate Edward Lear's Nonsense Rhyme. Originally published by Lear in 1847. ISBN: 0701116439. Spine slightly bumped and rubbed. Damp stain to lower edges of covers. Inscription in ink to verso of front free-endpaper. Price-cut wrapper is damp stained and edge rubbed.

A Leaden Treasury of English Verse. hair-raising parodies of familiar verses. Terrifying if they were not so funny - and funny if they were not so terrifying! Yellow mottled boards with green title to spine and vignette of tree to front cover. B/w illustrations throughout. 109 pages. A few faint margin marks to contents. Wrapper is price-cut, nicked and rubbed at corners with a small closed tear at lower spine.
