A board book for young children. Front cover shows young girl in blue & red dress, blue shoes, on swing with a flowering shrub and thrush singing to one side. Green cloth spine. 12 colour illustrations with text below plus full pages of text. Text in green. Undated. Board covers rubbed at edges, scuffed and grubby, stained to rear board. Board contents are slightly grubby at edges and rubbed at corner tips.

Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper.
A Short and a Merry One! A tale for children about a Persian cat named Mary and a dog named William. Oblong format. Green cloth spine, green paper boards, oblong pictorial onlay to front. 8 full page colour plates plus b/w illustrations. REDUCED FROM £480. Covers lovely and bright. First gathering a little loose and pulled at hinges. A few pale foxspots/marks else contents bright. White pictorial wrapper is edge-worn and torn with a little loss and a little grubby. A nice copy of a scarce item.
