Boys' and Girls' Gift Books series. Red boards with black titles and borders to front and spine. Colour frontis plate. 310 pages. Spine bumped. Prize plate to front pastedown. Foxing to contents. Dustwrapper is grubby and foxed, tear to lower edge of rear panel (with loss) and hole to top of spine (mainly affecting GW of Gwynfa).

Remains of book label to front endpaper. Browning to endpapers, title page and some page edges. Some hinges cracked. Foxing mainly to page edges. One plate creased at top corner. Dusty marks to last page of text, although text is still legible.

Large format. Cream/beige cloth spine with black title and illustration, pictorial front board showing boy and girl making a daisy chain. Colour plates and b/w illustrations. First story is "After The Party" by Barnes. Spine, corners and cover edges bumped and worn. Covers grubby with some scratches. Spine browned. One hinge cracked. Light stain to bottom of front endpapers. Some margin tears. A few marks and fox spots to contents but many pages are clean.

Spine bumped and frayed. Corners bumped and worn. Board edges worn. Front board is scratched and rear board grubby. Some hinges cracked. Inscription to front endpaper plus '1 Hedges' stamped in ink. A second inscription plus name and address in belongs to box. Foxing to endpapers and page edges. Neat colouring to some b/w illustrations.

Front joint cracked at top. Endpapers browned. Name and address in ink to verso of front endpaper. Ink tracing of picture beneath on tissue guard for frontis. 3 plates are MISSING. Foxing and some grubby margin marks.

Cream cloth spine with black title and illustration. Pictorial front board shows boy watching girl make cats cradle in hands (oriental dragon on wall behind). Colour plates and illustrations, b/w text illustrations. First story is "How We Stole an Uncle From Australia". Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Light scratch marks to front cover. Grubby mark to verso of front free-endpaper and frontis (possibly remains of a squashed insect!). Light fingering else contents clean.

Illustrated endpapers. 4 colour plates plus 150 b/w illustrations all by Lambert. Spine bumped with wear and a little wrinkled. Wear to corners and cover edges with some loss of surface. Bump to outside edge of front cover. Some rippling and light pink marks to endpapers. One hinge cracked. 2" tear to title page alongside spine. Most pages are clean. All colour plates present but one has not been printed straight on the page, marks to verso of another.

Some foxing mostly to page edges and grubby marks to contents.
