The Far Island was Margot Pardoe's first book and introduces Dean and Jean Fraser who later appear in the Bunkle series of books for which the author is best known. Pictorial cardwraps. B/w chapter headers. ISBN: 0955191009. Minimal rubbing to corners. Foxing to prelims but looks unread.

Almost very good condition in a poor dustwrapper.
Pale blue cloth, blue titles. B/w illustrations. 159 numbered pages. Spine and corners bumped, fading to top and tail of spine. Foxing to cover edges and to contents. Name and address in pencil to half title-page. Front joint at half title is cracked. Most (if not all) of the illustrations have been coloured in (neatly). Dustwrapper is badly worn, torn and creased with slight loss at edges and more loss to spine (see picture).
