Small date in ink to top corner of front free-endpaper. Foxing to textblock. Dustwrapper is edge worn and foxed, tape repair on verso of front flap.

The Boy in Red is Maurice St. Annalands, page to William the Silent, the heroic leader of the Netherlands in the fight for freedom. Yellow cloth with red title to spine. B/w illustrations. 256 pages. Spine bumped. Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper. Foxspots to textblock. Dustwrapper is edge worn with some very slight loss at spine and corners and neat tape repairs on verso, wrapper has a small/old tape mark to front panel (below "Red) and is slightly grubby to rear.
