US pirated story of Peter Rabbit. Small format. Red covers with small rectangular pictorial onlay to top of front cover and title beneath. Colour & b/w illustrations. Spine is worn with loss at top and tail. Fading to spine and cover edges. Front free-endpaper has been removed. Joints cracked. Rear free-endpaper is creased. There is possibly a colour illustration missing between pages 12 and 13. Page 12 has a heavy vertical crease to centre. There are fingermarks and other marks to contents.

Cream pictorial cloth. B/w plates. A girls school story set in the USA. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Pencil marks to rear cover. Light inscription in pencil to front endpaper. Endpapers browned. Pencil scribble to rear pastedown. Front joint and some hinges cracked. One plate has possibly been reinserted as edges are ragged. Some foxing, occasional pencil marks and some grubby marks. Tear to one page. A reading copy.
