Federico Barocci was one of the most innovative Italian artists of the second half of the 16th century. His art combines the Renaissance focus on the human body with an unparalleled use of colour and light. This book was published in conjunction with the exhibition of the same name which ran from October 2012 to January 2013 and February 2013 to May 2013. Large heavy format. Orange cloth boards with gilt title. Colour and b/w illustrations throughout. xv and 360 pages including index. ISBN: 9780300174779. A lovely copy with a few pale foxspots to top edge of text block else clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is lightly creased at top of spine and justa little scuffed.
