Poor condition. Being the adventures of the Bastable children in search of a fortune. Blue/green cloth with gilt titles and vignettes. B/w frontis and 16 other plates. 296 pages and catalogue to rear. All edges gilt.
Spine and corners bumped and worn. Small line indentation to top of front cover. Looks like an unsuccessful attempt has been made to clean the covers which are now part shiny/part matt and unevenly coloured and marked. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Joints are cracked. Frontis and one other plate MISSING, a few have small ink spots to them. Some grubby margin marks. A reading copy.
