Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. Catalogue of Antiquities of the Later Saxon Period Volume I. The first in a series planned to cover the antiquities of the later Saxon period, including the Celtic antiquities. This catalogue lists all the objects of the British Museum of precious metal or decorated bronze, made in an Anglo-Saxon context in the period between 700 and 1100. Large format. Blue cloth boards, gilt title to spine. B/w illustrations and photos.
Some minor mottling to board edges. Text block browned with some foxing. Contents are clean. Blue dustwrapper is foxed, a little grubby, lightly edge-worn with a little loss.
