The higher region of the Swiss Alps. Cloth boards, gilt title to spine. 8 colour plates and 4 maps. viii plus 232 pages. Covers scuffed, corners bumped. Bookplate and name in ink to front pastedown. Some foxing present, mainly to endpapers. One plate missing, one plate has a repaired closed tear. One map edge chipped with slight loss to map. Most tissue guards to plates missing. One plate partly detached. Plates themselves are very nice. One hinge pulled. Some pencil annotation.
