- Continuing the story of 'The Little Grey Men'. Dodder, Baldmoney, Sneezewort and now Cloudberry set out as refuges from their old home on Folly banks. They are aroused from their winter hibernation by the appalling news that their beloved Folly is drying up and they must move at once. Their famous ship, the Jeanie Deans, is hastily made seaworthy and the four gnomes embark, with their true friend Squirrel, to find a safe haven. The Jeanie Deans is wrecked at a weir and only the ingenuity of the mechanically minded Baldmoney averts disaster.
