Copyright date is 1910. Red cloth spine with black title and decoration. Front board shows a boy and girl leaving church (girl has red and white striped socks on!). Colour plates showing scenes from the life of David. Packed full of b/w illustrations. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Tape repairs/reinforcements to edges of covers (tape folded over onto pastedowns inside). Small booksellers sticker to front pastedown. Old tape mark to front free-endpaper. Inscription in ink to verso of front free-endpaper. Grubby fingermarks to some page margins. Light foxing to textblock and some page browning. Not as bad as it sounds!

Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Cover edges rubbed. Name plate to front pastedown. Endpapers partly browned. Foxing to contents and textblock. Dustwrapper is edge worn with some loss to top edge of rear panel, foxed on verso with some light foxing showing through to front panel.

Couple of little bumps to top and bottom of rear board. Book leans to one side. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Front joint and some hinges badly cracked meaning binding feels loose. Marks mostly to margins of some pages. 1 plate is MISSING and one is detached.
