The Dowty Group was a leading British manufacturer of aircraft equipment. Sections include: The growth of the Group; Ten years of Technical Achievement. Red cloth boadrs, silver titles. B/w photos. 64 pages. Light rubbing to top and tail of spine. Contents clean. Red dustwrapper is scuffed and lightly worn at lower edge.

Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper.
A summary of waterway history followed by chapters in notable engineering works, waterway maintenance, types of boats, traffic working and the life of the boatman. Red cloth boards, gilt title to spine. Colour frontis and b/w photos. Large folding map to rear of the Inland Waterways of England (showing their ownership prior to January 1, 1948). Top edge red. 221 pages including index. Boards clean and bright. Endpapers and text block browned. Front joint is cracked but binding is tight. Map at end is present. Pictorial dustwrapper is browned to verso, lightly rubbed at corners, a lovely example. Musty odour present.

The third and final volume of L.T.C. Rolt's autobiography. L.T.C. Rolt's fame rests on the fact that he was unique in producing works of literature from subject matter which has not before his time, been considered the stuff of literature - engineering, canals, railways, steam engines, agricultural machinery, and vintage cars. This volume was published posthumously and is a fitting tribute to the man who, through his appreciation of the 'aesthetics of technology', could be said to have given a literary shape to the Industrial Revolution. Black cloth baords, gilt title to spine. B/w photos. x and 246 pages. ISBN: 0862999987. Slight slant to spine. Text block lightly browned. Contents clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is slightly faded to spine and top of rear panel (minimal) and is lightly scuffed.

Terracotta cloth boards, gilt titles. B/w illustrations. Heavy knock to top front edge of boards else boards clean and bright. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Text block browned. Contents clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is faded to spine, has a tiny nick to top front edge, grubby to rear panel.
