Almost very good condition. Large format. Green cloth, gilt titles and gilt shepherd vignette to front cover. 16 tipped-in colour plates by Rawlings. Numerous b/w illustrations by Thomson. Top edge gilt.

Covers are unevenly browned. A few chips and nicks at cloth; with a little fraying in places. Plate to opposite page 27 is MISSING (mounting card and tissue-guard are still present, but plate no longer there). Some foxing and page browning.
