There are still notes about the garden, but these take second place as he becomes more involved with the wild plants and animals in the parish of Seelborne. Grey cloth boards. Gilt title to spine and title onlay to front. B/w illustrations. 520 pages including index. ISBN: 0712615571. Text block slightly grubby, minor foxing to top edge. Contents clean. Cream pictorial dustwrapper is lightly edge-worn and slightly scuffed.

This volume contains White's Garden Kalendar for 1751-67, a fascinating record of his often innovative horticultural efforts, the 1766 Flora Selborniensis, a catalogue of the wild plants he observed around Selborne, and his Naturalist's Journal for 1768-73.
