In 1979, divers excavating the wreck of the Tudor warship the Mary Rose discovered numerous yew longbows in remarkable condition, some still in their packing chests. Narrow band of white marking to vertical edges of covers, rear pastedown is misplaced during binding process, leaving a small chip to pastedown, else a lovely copy, dustwrapper slightly faded to spine.
