Red cloth spine. Colour pictorial paper board to front shows two young girls under a red umbrella with shopping in their arms and small dog next to them, other young ladies in background. Plain endpapers. B/w and two tone illustrations throughout. Wain illustrations are on page 36 and 37 'Pussy's Birthday Party', 128 'Catching the Train and 129 'An Exciting Gallop'. 144 pages. Six colour plates. Spine bumped and rubbed. Corners bumped and worn. Board edges scuffed. Covers grubby with some scratches to rear board. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Both joints beginning to crack. Some hinges pulled. Pages browned. One plate detached, the bottom edge of which is grubby. One other plate is partially detached. Margins and verso of plates are marked.
