A penetrating and enthralling study of the Japanese mentality, the Japanese myth, as personified by this demonic, naive, brutal, weirdly idealistic sergeant. Small format. Blue cloth spine with gilt title. Blue and white design paper boards. 58 pages. Reprint in the first year of publication. Boards lightly browned. Minor foxing present mainly to text block. Contents generally clean. Blue pictorial dustwrapper is browned to spine and rear panel, foxing to rear panel, corners lightly worn with minor chipping.
