Red cloth. Limited to 1000 copies. B/w illustrations. Valentine Morris was born in the island of Antigua in 1727 but lived for 30 years at the Piercefield, part of which is now Chepstow racecourse. Light scratch mark to front board (minor). Endpapers browned, minor foxing to text block and some page margins else contents clean. White pictorial dustwrapper is scuffed, a little grubby, a little worn at top of spine.

Price-cut pictorial dustwrapper is very grubby, browned, stained, repaired to top and tail of spine with clear tape. Musty odour present.
